Svemirske cipele

Svemirske cipele

Gordana Benić

There is no such everyday openness that could absorb Gordana Benić's poetic cosmics at first breath. They require a change of perspective.

Leaving the ground, the language, the habit of poetry. They also require a new breath, almost so new an understanding that preparations are needed, knocking on doors, meditative immersion, descent and buoyancy. But then follows astonishment, flight. From the usual state, we almost unconsciously pass into a state of vivid attention and ultra-sensitive perception. In doing so, the poet meets other travelers, artists, poets, mystics, astrophysicists, introduces us to the interpretation of Rimbaud. And in doing so, the text is constantly composed, there is no respite, just as the universe expands, so do the lungs of the new poetic universe. At the same time, we do not stop thinking about the form of the poem in which this extraordinary poetic work is performed; in the case of "Space Shoes", the poem has reached a completely new kind of openness and freedom. When we fully enter the world of the poem, it turns into something unpredictable.

Drago Glamuzina

The title poem, "The Black Rabbit," represents a kind of symbolist maneuver within "real" poetry, because like Baudelaire's "Albatross," it possesses a pronounced unambiguous charge.
