Morbus Kitahara

Morbus Kitahara

Christoph Ransmayr

The Peace of Oranienburg is the name for years and decades of war. But that name does not mark the period of restoration, but of reprisals and revenge.

According to the will of the victor, the defeated enemy must return from the ruins of their cities and productions to the beet fields and sheep pastures of some past century. Three men meet in Moor, a desolate desert in the shadow of high mountains. Ambras, the King of Dogs and a former inmate, years after his release will become the manager of the quarry where he suffered as a prisoner.
