Dubravko Ivančan (1931–1982) was a Croatian poet, essayist, and translator, known for his works for children and young adults. One of his most famous works is "Jaje harambaša", first published in 1958.
The collection Authentic History of House Numbers won an award at the foundation's publishing competition (2017).
The illustrations for this book were made by students of primary schools: Sedmi maj - Vrbovec, I. Gojak - Karlovac, Seven Secretaries of SKOJ - Zagreb, Krešo Rakić - Zagreb, Crveni oktobar - Zagreb, Marijan Grozaj - Ivanić-Grad, Siget - Zagreb.
In this collection, the poet explores the themes of human existence, struggle, and the relationship between man and nature, using stone as a symbol of durability and strength.
