Zločin i kazna 1-2.

Zločin i kazna 1-2.

Fjodor Mihajlovič Dostojevski

Crime and Punishment by Fyodor Mikhailovich Dostoyevsky is the pinnacle of high Russian realism along with the novels Anna Karenina and War and Peace by Lev Nikolayevich Tolstoy.

The plot is reminiscent of F. M. Dostoevsky's second novel, The Brothers Karamazov, where part of the novel also deals with the motive of murder. In addition to those two novels, Dostoevsky is also known for the novel The Idiot. Crime and Punishment cannot be classified into just one category and type, but we characterize it as a criminal and psychological novel. Criminal because it really deals with the topic of murder and the search for the killer, but unlike other novels of this type, the reader is not revealed the clues that will gradually lead to the killer, but the perpetrator is known to us from the very beginning, and we follow his mental state after the murder.
