Eseji 3: Evropa danas

Eseji 3: Evropa danas

Miroslav Krleža

This book of Krleža's essays contains, first of all, a book of impressions and essays "Europe Today". The book "Europe Today" is followed by two articles on artistic creation.

Despite the variety of topics covered in those fifteen essays and articles, the book represents a kind of whole because it includes Krleža's essay writing from a period that is particularly significant within his rich literary activity: it was the time of preparing and publishing the magazine "Danas" (1933-34 ), the time of the beginning of the great European crisis, opened by Hitler's coming to power in Germany.
