Antologija američke književnosti dostupna je u dvotomnom i sažetom izdanju. Pomno odabrana djela uvode čitatelje u američku književnu baštinu, od kolonijalnih vremena Williama Bradforda i Anne Bradstreet do suvremenog doba Saula Bellowa i Toni Morrisona.

Svezak II uključuje književna djela od kasnog devetnaestog stoljeća do dvadeset prvog stoljeća. Postoji novi odjeljak Književnost 21. stoljeća s povećanim naglaskom na aktualne autore i kontekst, kao i zaseban uvod u razdoblje i vremensku crtu.
