Istina i sjajna voda

Istina i sjajna voda

Thomas King

Thomas King, part Cherokee, part Greek, builds the plot in this novel through the story of the boy Tecumseh, who with his cousin Lum and his dog Vojnik usually passes through a reservation on summer days, between the towns of Truth and Shining Water.

The action is triggered by the mystery of an event on the river, when they saw the drowning of a woman whom they could not help. In addition, Tecumseh tries to reveal family secrets and reconcile his parents. The story has many romantic but also balladic episodes. The novel is full of dialogues, miraculous events, black humor and living truths, it is an enticing and juicy read. The translators translated all the names in the novel into Croatian, which will bring the reader even closer to the world of the natives and the remote areas of Canada.
