Das Kumrovec-Gedenkhaus wurde auf einer markanten Anhöhe mit Blick auf die gesamte Region errichtet.

Kumrovec ist auch ein Wallfahrtsort, wo Menschen Titos Geburtshaus (das in ein Museum umgewandelt wurde) besuchen, um mehr über sein Leben und seine Kriegstaten zu erfahren. Darüber hinaus wurden auch das umliegende Gebäude und die Gegend um Titos Geburtshaus erhalten und in ein ethnografisches Touristendorf umgewandelt. Kumrovec wurde nicht nur zu einem Wallfahrtsort, um mehr über Titos Leben zu erfahren, sondern es wurden auch Anstrengungen unternommen, Kultur- und Bildungszentren zu schaffen, die sich für die Förderung der sozialistischen Kultur und der in Jugoslawien einzigartigen politischen Philosophie einsetzen.
