Pera Kvržica's Society is one of the better known novels by Mata Lovrak. The plot begins with a depiction of a typical morning at Pera's family.
Pero is portrayed as a cheerful boy full of life and ideas. It is from him that the idea for repairing the village mill originates. Namely, the night before he heard his parents discussing the old village mill that was falling into disrepair. Pero then gathers his friends around him in a small company that starts a secret operation, cleaning and training the mill.
