Badnja večer

Badnja večer

Sonja Tomić

The well-known author of various children's books, Sonja Tomić, offers children a great way to prepare for Christmas with her new collection of stories in her peculiar, picturesque and humorous, and above all warm and religiously receptive way.

In all eighteen stories, except for one dedicated to St. Nikoli, the author portrays the mystery of Christmas based on her own experiences and true events, brings warm and playful as well as theologically demanding content, portraying and entering into the mystery of the incarnation of the Son of God. She dedicated several short stories to individual persons or institutions (stepmother and stepfather, Aleksa Benigar, St. Joseph's Home in Zagreb's Vrhovac), and she painted the book herself so that it bursts with vivid colors, playful fairy-tale and biblical characters. Sonja Tomić is a recognized children's writer, a member of the Society of Croatian Writers, has published about fifteen books and picture books, and publishes regularly in several Croatian magazines and newspapers.
