Književnost i povijest

Antun Pavešković

Literary-historical studies on the relationship between literary, cultural and general history consist of four thematically coherent units: "Historiographic perceptions", "Monographic aspects", "Gundulić in the light of literary anthropology" and "Ancient

In the first part, the author critically problematizes the aspects from which the works of canonical authors are viewed in our literary criticism and literary history, in the second, Mediterranean themes predominate, and the third, as the title suggests, is determined by the anthropological approach of Gundulić, and in the introduction, as a methodological foundation, it presents the anthropology of Girard and Gans. The fourth unit consists of two studies, one describing the poetics of the political practice of Držić and Vetranović, and the other the work of Goran Tribuson. Using various methodological procedures, the author examines literary and theatrical achievements in the context of cultural and general history, taking care to ensure that his texts are written clearly and that they reach the target audience with a polished style.
