Komparativnom analizom zaključuje da je socijalna država vrlo složen pojam koji snažno ovisi o ekonomskom i društvenom razvoju. Glavni autor vidi mogućnosti zadovoljavanja zajedničkih potreba u autopoetskom potencijalu neprofitnih sustava koji su sposobni učinkovito djelovati u složenom okruženju i učinkovito ispunjavati zajedničke ciljeve. U svom empirijskom radu vodeći autor empirijski analizira snagu solidarnosti i orijentacije prema općem dobru na razini slovenskog društva.
