Nevini lopovi: satire

Nevini lopovi: satire

Fadil Hadžić

The satirical stories of Fadil Hadžić, one of the most performed playwrights in our country, cover a wide spectrum of contemporary social, ideological, cultural and psychological peculiarities.

In a short and concise form of expression, the author touches on many phenomena, curiosities and deformations with his good-natured remarks. In these effectively summarized stories, the nature and soul of that time and society parade. There are sketches for a character portrait of our neighbors, more ambitious analyzes of some social situations, autobiographical irony... Rooted in concrete situations, the author notices shifts in the mentality of individuals and collectives, through which the atmosphere of time and society shines. Particularly noteworthy are the satires whose subject is the cultural environment, which is best known to the author. Hadžić's satires, told in the best tradition of the Hasek-Kišon prose, are read with pleasure, because "Thieves should be trusted a little more."
