Svjetlost maslačka

Svjetlost maslačka

Lujo Medvidović

This is a collection of poems that belongs to the author's oeuvre known for its sonnet form and deep patriotic and historical spirit.

The poems in the collection are imbued with the symbolism of nature, especially the dandelion, which can be interpreted as a metaphor for transience, but also for the light and resilience of the spirit. The title Svjetlost danlačka (The Light of the Dandelion (a golden hair of the sun, clothed in the wind) suggests a lyrical sensitivity and connection to natural and national motifs. Medvidović's work often reflects his attachment to Croatian culture and history, which is also evident in this collection, where personal and collective feelings intertwine, often tinged with melancholy and hope.
