Manual for creative encounters with children in war and post-war times
The fundamental goal of this Manual is to help educators to make sense of the difficult wartime experiences in our region (since the summer of 1991) for children and youth and to transform them into a creative force in terms of healthy growth and development on a physical, psychosocial and moral level. The Manual offers (and seeks) a combination of diverse methods and skills of creative encounters and work with children and youth who were victims of war in a systematic and therapeutic manner. It is intended primarily for a wide range of educators and cultural workers who meet children and youth in situations and places of their "free activities" such as public and or school libraries, art expression workshops, local centers for dramatic expression, local puppet theaters, rhythm and dance studios, or local museum premises that are sufficiently far from "street noise", and are perhaps the only quiet and inspiring place in the local environment where children and youth with difficult traumatic experiences from these war and post-war times can gather to get to know each other, recognize each other and help each other build the future.
