Handbook and proceedings of the Faculty of Agriculture in Osijek from 2008. It covers agricultural economics, farm management, agricultural policy and sustainable development of agribusiness in Croatia.
"Agroeconomics" (published by the Faculty of Agriculture in Osijek in 2008, today the Faculty of Agrobiotechnical Sciences in Osijek) is a higher education textbook and professional-scientific study intended for students of agronomy, agroeconomics, and experts in the field of agricultural production and agribusiness. The work was prepared by leading professors and scientists from the Department of Agroeconomics at the Faculty of Agriculture in Osijek. The book covers a wide range of economic and organizational topics crucial for understanding the modern agricultural sector in Croatia and the region. The content systematically elaborates on the basics of microeconomics and macroeconomics in agriculture, organization and management of family farms (FPs), cost calculations, investment planning, and market analysis of agricultural and food products. Special attention is paid to agricultural policy, the adaptation of Croatian agriculture to European Union standards (Common Agricultural Policy – CAP), and the sustainable development of rural areas.
