The manual explains how to use a regular deck of 32 cards to predict the future, interpreting the meanings of each card in various layouts. The booklet was published in the interwar period, probably in the late 1920s, early 1930s.
An exceptionally rare local edition, a small folk manual for fortune telling with a regular deck of 32 cards. The publisher is the Komisiona naklada knjig. St. Koler from Osijek, one of the now almost forgotten small Osijek publishers from the interwar period. The sixteen-page booklet explains in simple language the fortune telling procedure, the arrangement of the cards around the "identity card" and provides detailed information on the meanings of all 32 cards in different positions.
The copy is exceptionally well preserved: the binding is sturdy, without damage or underlining, the booklet is like new, which is a rarity for such ephemeral, cheap material that was mainly consumed in home use. Due to its local Osijek origin, the small print run and the fact that this is probably the only known edition of this publisher, the publication is particularly interesting to collectors of rare Osijek books, researchers of the history of popular culture, as well as to anyone interested in traditional fortune telling from cards in Slavonia.
