Hrvatski tjednik #1-33

Complete and neatly bound volume of the magazine Hrvatski tjednik from 1971. An original historical document and key testimony about the Croatian Spring, social movements and the political leadership of that era.

An extremely rare and valuable collector's item: a complete bound volume of the magazine Hrvatski tjednik from the fateful year of 1971. Published by Matica hrvatska as a "newspaper for cultural and social issues", this weekly, under the editorial leadership of Vlade Gotovac and Igor Zidić, became the central publication and intellectual focal point of the Croatian Spring.

The binding includes all issues published from April to December 1971, including the last, significant 33rd issue, the distribution of which was prohibited due to the political showdowns in Karađorđevo and the suppression of the movement. The pages bring authentic texts, polemics, manifestos and analyses of leading Croatian intellectuals, artists and politicians of the time, providing invaluable insight into the struggle for national, cultural and economic identity.

The collection is professionally and carefully bound in sturdy covers, which permanently protects the newspapers from deterioration. The interior is in excellent condition, with no missing pages or significant damage. This set represents a superb primary source for historians and researchers, and a valuable exhibit for passionate collectors of 20th-century Croatian history, journalism, and journalism.
