Bog u noćnim ulicama
The most important part of Krklec's literary work is poetry. His anthology poetry with concise, direct and clear expression manifests cheerfulness and joy of life, but also metaphysical anxiety.
He also wrote essays, reviews, travelogues, feuilletons and aphorisms. He translated a lot, mostly from Russian, German, but also from Slovenian and Czech languages. Krklec also dealt with so-called daily criticism. His translations of Pushkin, Prešeren and Brecht stand out in particular. Under the pseudonym Martin Lipnjak, he wrote a series of critical writings and essays.
