The short novel "Izvanbrodski dnevnik" by describing the journey of the main character, makes irony the supreme principle of storytelling art, developing it in a tangle of symbolism, in a wide range from criticism of the illusion of well-being, justice and democracy, through illusions of personal unquestionability to the illusion of the traditional function and structure of storytelling .
