Compared to previous syntheses by Dragan Jeremić (1967/68) and Andrija Stojković (1970/1972), this book brings many novelties. Based on decades of studying Serbian philosophy, the author has advanced in his knowledge of many previously unknown or little-known segments of the history of Serbian thought. This applies in particular to the Middle Ages, then to the dark period of slavery under the Turks until the mid-19th century.
