Al-Raud Al Athir - Mirisni vrt za odmor duše

Al-Raud Al Athir - Mirisni vrt za odmor duše

Šejh Muhamed el Nafzaui

The work of Sheikh Muhammad al-Nefzaui is nothing but a mature, albeit late fruit of the rich Arab erotic literary heritage.

A fragrant garden for the rest of the human soul" originates from the 16th century and was written somewhere, as its author himself says - in Tunisia, although the rich erotic Arabic literature dates back to much earlier centuries. Such literature, such as "Scented Garden" by Sheikh Al Nefzaui, no matter how much it was interwoven with eroticism, never had anything in common with our modern shallow pornography, because it tells us - in an enthralling and for us somewhat amusing tone and manner, without however, in the sense of Arab politeness, it never crosses the borders - about true love's sufferings, joys and pleasures. With this book, we bring to our contemporary readers an anthology of the Arab art of love, which without further ado can serve us all to deepen and supplement our understanding of a high old and undying culture.
