Shakespeare's "Hamlet" is a tragedy of five acts, which are divided into scenes. The action takes place in Helsingör Castle in the Danish royal court.

Hamlet is a prince whose father has recently passed away. Hamlet's friend Horatio tells him that the ghost of the deceased king appears on the walls at night, and after Hamlet is convinced of this himself, the ghost encourages him to take revenge for his murder. Hamlet was not aware that it was a murder, and in order to appease his father's spirit, he promises to do what he asked of him. Thus, the main theme and motivation of the action of the tragedy becomes revenge.
