Noć u Kazablanki: Filmska decenija 1991-2001.
In this valuable book by Milan Vlajčić, the cinematic nineties receive their first systematic evaluation. Much more than a mere sum of accumulated texts, it is a corpus with a more than elaborated and profiled concept.
Perhaps it is no coincidence, as Radoslav Zelenović, manager of the Yugoslav Cinematheque, said, that a collection of film reviews reflecting the previous decade, "Night in Casablanca" by Milan Vlajičić, is being promoted now that we are celebrating sixty years since that legendary film. According to him, the chronology and diary notes and an overview of the film production were compiled.
In an interview with "Blic", the author, answering the question of what was the key feature of the film in this region in the previous decade, said that it is a real miracle that the film survived here at all. - It was made with huge personal investments and energies, and with little or no money. And what is most important, those seventy or so films, which were not even in the much happier countries around us, neither in number nor in terms of artistic standard, were the best representatives of the good spirit of this nation. Of course, with athletes.
