Ekspozicija tame

Marko Gregur

Told from the perspective of a blind man, nicknamed the Dark One, who is at the same time its focal point, the novel Exposure of Darkness takes place in the imaginary Podravina village of Viru, where the rich merchant family of Aviro ended up as a result of migration. Their house is the center of intellectual life, more elegant and civil than others, the breath of Vienna, so it is not surprising that a blind boy from a poor, illiterate family thinned and damaged by the Great War wants and yearns to be like them, one of them, all his life. Two world wars will rumble through the village with terrible and long-term consequences, empires will become kingdoms and republics, in that second war armies will alternate in power and in terror, many will sell their face to save their heads, people will, as a rule, subdue and national be homogenized. It should be kept in mind: you can see well from the darkness, but there, in the darkness, no one can see. - Kruno Lokotar

Kratki izlet je uz Novakov roman "Mirisi, zlato i tamjan" ponajbolje djelo hrvatske egzistencijalističke književnosti. Ovo djelo svjedoči o filozofskim, svjetonazorskim dvojbama hrvatskih intelektualaca 20. stoljeća.
