Miroslav Krleža

Panorama of views, phenomena and concepts, a collection of five books better known under its working title "Krležiana", contains a series of quotes selected from almost the entire prose work of Miroslav Krleža, published between 1913 and 1975.

The quotations were chosen according to the principle that each of them should give the author's thought as rounded and complete as possible about one person from Krleža's rich gallery of domestic and foreign characters of all eras or about one problem: literary, painting, sculptural, musical, philosophical in the broadest sense, moral, social, historical, medical or any other from the vast array of problems that Krleža thought about and wrote about during his many years of literary activity, and especially about the fundamental questions of human existence: from where, to what and where?, i.e. about the position of the "pale biped" in space and history, about a man faced with the secret of life, death and poetry.
